RBD concert and stay at one of the best hotels in Monterrey MX
In today’s post, one of our hotels in Monterrey, MX, wants to invite you to live the Latin pop experience as Mexicans did in the early 2000s. But first, let’s talk music!
Everyone has a particular genre that defined their youth. Whether it’s rock, synth-pop, house, euro disco, alternative, or pop, let’s admit that we all have our favorites. Japanese 80s pop was (and still is) a blast, English rock took over our radios and cassette players, and Italo disco classics are still on our playlists, not to mention Madonna…
A little closer to our time is the music of the 90s: The Backstreet Boys, Christina Aguilera, Spice Girls, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers—pure goldies! Millennials definitely have a full stash of good music, but newer generations are not far behind. We danced to the tunes of artists like Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Gloria Estefan, Shakira, and Lady Gaga.
While all these artists are deeply imprinted in the hearts of many, there are others you may or may not be familiar with, as their boom happened in certain regions of the world. For those of you who are particularly fond of pop, regardless of language, here is a band that is sure to be music to your ears (literally): RBD!
Give Me an R, Give Me a B, Give Me an RBD!
RBD emerged as a Latin pop band, achieving fame through Televisa’s soap opera, «Rebelde.» The original band members were Anahí, Maite Perroni, Dulce María, Christopher von Uckermann, Christian Chávez, and Alfonso Herrera. However, this last member decided to step out of the group.
The «telenovela» was produced by Pedro Damián and reached its peak of popularity. Due to its great success, the producer created a musical group composed of the main characters of the series.
This year, RBD made their comeback with their Soy Rebelde Tour, the fifth and ultimate concert tour for the Mexican ensemble. The events kicked off on August 25 in El Paso, Texas, but if you missed them, don’t worry! The band will continue to perform in Latin America, arriving in Colombia in early November, traveling to Brazil a few days later, and wrapping up in their hometown at the end of November.
My point is that you don’t have to travel that far to enjoy these energetic concerts. Monterrey, Nuevo León, is the closest state to the United States, being in the north of Mexico. The Estadio Mobil Super will host the band on November 23 and 24 and December 12. Tickets are already available, so hurry up and get yours soon! But now, which hotel in Monterrey should I choose?
